Dave
Wilson, a Virginia native, now resides very close to the "World's Fastest
Half Mile" in Bristol, Tennessee. Beck's
Beer recently came on board with Wilson to sponsor his #99 Monte Carlo for the
Cup Series, while his alma mater Virginia Tech signed on as an associate
sponsor.
Wilson
began his racing career only a couple of years ago with the season 1 FTR
Shootout Series in which he has made considerable gains with dedication and hard
work. He finished a very
respectable 9th even after being plagued with connection problems, and
improvements in his speed and consistency were evident throughout the
season. He now competes full-time in the ROL Cup Series where he finished
18th and 17th respectively in the 2002 and 2003 seasons.
Wilson
will surely be a force to be reckoned with in future seasons as he has the
determination to make it happen. A
league win in the near future would come as no surprise for this blooming
talent.
